📰 Renacer Oils in ABC: the story of a generational shift in organic olive groves
Appearing in gastronomic media is always a source of pride, especially when the focus is on origin, sustainability, and the value of the countryside.
Recently, ABC Gurmé published an interview in which Adrián Castro, founder of Aceites Renacer, shares the birth of the project, the generational handover of the family olive grove and the vision of a new generation of producers committed to organic olive oil.

🌿 From a family olive grove to an organic brand with identity
Aceites Renacer was born as a continuation of the family olive grove located in El Rinconcillo, the hamlet where Adrián Castro grew up.
In 2020 he decided to take on the project, convert the crop to organic and create his own brand of extra virgin olive oil, combining field work with commercial management and international expansion.
The philosophy of the project is clear: to produce quality oil while respecting the environment and focusing on sustainability as a central principle.
🫒 A variety with character: Organic Picual
Currently, Aceites Renacer works with Picual olives from more than 4,000 organic olive trees, converted from traditional cultivation.
This extra virgin olive oil is characterized by:
-
aromatic intensity
-
Notes of tomato and freshly cut grass
-
balance between bitterness and spiciness
-
complex sensory profile
In addition, the project includes the future incorporation of new varieties such as Hojiblanca.
🌱 Restore the natural balance of the olive grove
One of the highlights of the project is the return to traditional practices without the use of chemicals.
Thanks to organic production, the olive grove has recovered biodiversity, with the presence of herbs and fauna that had disappeared for years, reflecting the positive impact of sustainable management.
Although the ecological transition led to an initial drop in production, over time the balance has been restored and the harvest has recovered to previous levels.
🍽️ Gastronomy, territory and olive oil culture
The interview also addresses the connection between olive oil and local gastronomy.
Renacer EVOO finds its greatest prominence in dishes like salmorejo, where the oil transforms the final result, and in simple proposals such as bread with tomato or toast with fresh products.
The project also maintains a strong relationship with the local restaurant and retail sectors, where olive oil is part of the gastronomic experience of the region.
🏅 Recognitions and awards
Among the project's outstanding achievements is the Gran Mezquita Award, where Aceites Renacer obtained 97 points and achieved third place among more than 190 participating oils.
Beyond the awards, the greatest recognition for the brand is the direct consumer experience, especially through visits to the olive grove and tastings where the product is discovered at its origin.
🚀 Looking to the future: innovation and sustainable growth
The future of Aceites Renacer lies in continuing to grow progressively, while maintaining control of the production process.
One of the medium-term objectives is the creation of our own olive mill, which would allow us to produce early harvest oils and strengthen our production independence.
The project maintains a strategy based on creating a market first and then growing with stability.
❤️ A brand defined by closeness and transparency
Aceites Renacer defines itself as a brand committed to sustainable agriculture, close to its customers and based on values such as transparency and honesty.
This identity connects with a new way of understanding extra virgin olive oil: a product with origin, history and purpose.
